In this revamped re-make of the 1998 classic, "The Making of 'Scarface'", we explore the journey of Sofia (Gina Rodriguez, known for "Jane the Virgin"), an aspiring filmmaker who is on a quest to remake the iconic film 'Scarface', advancing it into the modern era. A significant gender-swap provides fresh perspective — Sofia steps into the director’s shoes, once filled by Brian De Palma, and aims to recreate the legendary gangster drama addressing contemporary social issues such as diversity and mental health.
